This map is based on The bloody battles of 1942-3 where the Australians and Japanese fought for the Kokoda trail in New Guinea. If you have any comments or ways I can
improve the map, please post them.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
just copy the Kokoda_trail RFA file into your Mods/BF1942/Archives/BF1942/levels folder.

AFEW DETAILS
+ both sides have a permanent base.
+ the game starts with 2 Jap flags, 2 British flags, and 3 neutral control points.
+ This is a conquest headon map.
+ The "Kokoda" control point is where most battles will be fought.
+ for the fun factor, the level size has been drstically reduced from over 30 miles to about 1.
+ this map is optimised for conquest/CTF.
TIPS FOR THE BRITISH
+ try driving your jeeps around the 1st bridge, the hill after it is impassible..
+ It is almost certain the japs will capture kokoda 1st.
+ don't use the enfield rifle! it is far inferior to the type5.
+ optimal class = medic.
TIPS FOR THE JAPANESE
+ take a jeep straight past all the points to Kokoda, once captured it will be easy to defend.
+ try and spawn as close to the front as possible. ie don't let everyone spawn at base "so they can use the jeep".
+ once you have captured Kokoda, you will find it hard to attack the hills next to it.
+ use the blackmedals to get to troublespots quickly
NOTES **
+ The real battle was fought by the ozzys. i replaced them with the brits because of the similar uniforms.
