i unzipped the file... it went to my downlad folder... what should I do next ( where should I do with the unzipped file..) or where should I unzipp the file..?

If your asking about how to install the mod, here it is
firstly, i recommend getting WinRAR if you dont have it, once you get that, download the assault mod, when its finished downloading, WinRAR should open it and show you all the files, there should be an application in there (it will say its an app), and click on that and let it install. If you have vista, bf2 will most likely have installed to programfiles (x86)/EA Games/ Battlefield 2 or something like that. assault mod will most likely install to programfiles, not programfiles (x86), so just add the (x86) (remember theres a space infront of that)infront of the program files. if you have XP dont worry bout all that. once its finished installing, extract the shortcut to your desktop, now rightclick on the shortcut and change the path and start in lines by adding the (x86) infront of the programfiles (again dont worry if its XP), then it should be all ready!

Just ignore the message asking you to pay for it, winRaR is free, just extract the files to the right location and you're done.

i use 7zip id dont know if it matters much, I cannot find the file that says app or application
I uinziped it into the right folder and then I boot the game. It shaws the mod but when I use it it go's and ato adjust then closes what shold i do???☺
My download has no application file. I have no idea how to install it and I have installed plenty of mods in the past - but it would have been smart to include a Read-Me for this download as many people, including myself, can not figure out what to do with it.

found out what to do, dont open up game with desura, open up BF2 vinilla, then go to community then mods or custom games, then open assault up with that, and it should work, did for me at least
so when do all of the new weapons get released? like the EO tech and the newer M4 and stuff like that?
