HOW TO PLAY
-----------
Battlefield 40k - 1942 is very much different from your normal Battlefield experience. You'll be
thrown hi-tech weaponary of the future, and visit dark battlefields where... ok, fine. It'll be a bit
like Battlefield 1942. However, there are key differences you should note before playing.
-Bikes
Chaos Space Marines have access to the bike. This vehicle is fast, durable and manouverable. However,
take a turn too fast and you'll flip right over. Be prepared, and start off slow.
-Jump Packs
Space Marines can use Jump Packs with the assault class, which can launch them over vast amounts of land,
making it easy to capture spawn points while the enemy still wonders what is going on. Use jump (probably SPACEBAR) to use, and continue 'jumping' to gain altitude. Be warned, however. When hitting the ground from high, you will take damage. Nullify this by saving some thrust for right before you land, and fire up. This will save you from taking any damage.
NOTE! HOW TO FIGHT JUMP PACKS
Since this class can seem daunting, even unfair, it seems only natural to describe how to fight this foe, should you find yourself against them. Remember, they are only armed with a pistol, some grenades, a chainsword and the melta bomb. They should be ill-equipped to single-handedly storm a defended outpost. Even a single person should be able to defeat a Assault one on one. Tanks should be very wary of them however, for even though they only carry a single meltabomb, they will come, land, drop it, and be gone long before you have a chance to respond.
-Flamers
Chaos uses an ancient method of lighting promethium and firing it as a burst of flame. To use the Flamers, fire in a direct line above the enemy, and wave slightly. Do not frantically wave the weapon left and right, for the flame does not cause severe damage. Flames will not carry through building walls, but may envelope objects if small enough.
-Sonic Blasters
Noise Marines on Chaos have the Sonic Blaster and Doom Siren. The Sonic Blaster is a weapon that fires a burst of pure energy and sound, the harmonics ripping at the target. It fires semi-auto, and is best fired from a standing position. Wide areas and good accoustics gain best results. If fired in a small area, the weapon may not function at all, so stay in the open.
-Doom Siren
A device allows the Noise Marine to scream incredibly loud, actually damaging their opponents. To use the Doom Siren, fire like any other weapon. It has short range and good splash, allowing for hitting multiple targets.
-Transport Vehicles
Although most transports will spawn passengers outside, the driver himself will generally exit to it's interior. Before exiting, use the up and down keys to open the vehicle doors to allow for exit. You can also transport more than the allowable amount this way, by opening before heading to battle, and taking more troops. However, remember to open the door later, so they can get out! Use the smoke screen on the rhinos to give them cover.
-Defiler
The Defiler may look daunting, but it functions like any other vehicle. Just keep moving and firing, whether you're on tracks or 6 steel legs.

ICONS
-----
In EA GAMES>BATTLEFIELD 1942>MODS>BF40k, you can find an bf40k.ico file that you can drag to your desktop. With that file, you can automatically start the mod just by double clicking it, instead of starting bf1942 and then activating bf40k from the mod management screen.
