Hoi Punkbuster - ich glaube du hast da war durcheinander bekommen - hier nochmal das POE Statement:

During the past few days at PoE we have been held back by some rather unpleasant goings on and we would like to put that into context.

We noticed a mod called DC enhanced had just released a build and as soon as we saw the release , it was blatantly obvious that this was our hard work being ripped and dropped into another mod.

I tried to keep it nice and sweet and simply asked them to remove these models as they are property of PoE, I was met with an entire pack of lies.

We were accused of * buying * these models form turbo squid and a few other things.....so the rip began.

Dfast spent the entire night ripping apart DC enhanced and has proven beyond any doubt that these model/skins/code in question was indeed ours.

I encourage people to become involved in the modding community, but do it with some class.

This is not the way things should be done.

From my understanding the build in question has been pulled from everywhere that we have found it, but we may have missed some, so please if you see dc enhanced v.6 out there for download, please let me know via PM in the PoE forums.

So gesehen ja. Aber stell Dir mal vor, Du schreibst ein Game-Server FAQ mit einem zugehörigen Programm und jemand anderes integriert das einfach und verbreitet es unter seinem Namen. Mich würde das stören. Es gibt ja Kooperationen unter Mods, die sich austauschen und zusammen entwickeln. Mich würde das stören, wenn man meine Sachen ohne zu fragen nehmen würde...

Es steht für mich außer Frage, dass der PoE-Skin in der Enhanced DC Mod auftaucht. Man sieht auf dem Vergleichsbild einwandfrei ein Pinselwerkzeug. Wenn das professionell gemacht worden wäre, hätten sie's wenigstens mit dem Kopierstempel aus Photoshop versucht.

Es gibt aber eine klare Gegenposition die sagt: Enhanced DC hat die verwendeten Modelle bei 3dModelsworks gekauft. Gut, dann haben sie immer noch den Skin gerippt, was schlimm genug ist.

Vielleicht stellt sich raus, dass Enhanced DC eine leere Behauptung aufgestellt hat - wer weiß. Ich habe in jedem Fall 3Modelworks angeschrieben und nachgefragt, ob Enhanced DC die Models (oder vielmehr die Rechte daran) dort erworben hat. Wichtig ist vor allem folgender Abschnitt:

Secondly, no POE does not own those models. The modders of Enhanced DC 6 purchased the right to use them from 3dmodelworks (as per the EULA, "Global Majic Software (GMS) retains all copyrights to the enclosed content and materials. The Buyer is not purchasing the contents, only the right to use the contents."), just as others have done, and maybe even the DEV's at POE, we do not know if they bought them from there but the modders of enhanced 6 DID.

and third, the WCC does not own a mod, we simply host a mod.

We have not stolen anything, and we would never infringe on anyones creativity or intellectual properties.

Thank you for letting me clear this obvious mistake up.

Und diese Aussage hat für mich genauso viel Gewicht wie ein Community-Statement der PoE Dev's. Sie sagen: Alles geklaut, inklusive Models. Die anderen sagen: Stimmt nicht, die Models sind gekauft. Licht ins Dunkel kann also vielleicht ein Statement von 3dmodelworks bringen. Erklär doch mal, wo ich da etwas vertausche?

naja das POE Hick-Hack scheint sich gelegt zu haben...die 0.6 version is geschichte...

nun ist die 0.7 draussen ohne geklaute sachn...
