So, wie versprochen melde ich mich hier nochmal wegen besagtem Event.

Realityteamwork.com veranstaltet heute Abend eine Combined-Arms Event (nicht die Mod zu PR, sondern normale PR-Karten mit vielen Fahrzeugen etc.!!).

Anwesentheit auf Mumble ist Pflicht (die PR-Version von Mumble, nicht die normale), denn das Passwort für den Server steht nur im entsprechenden Mumble-Channel. Solltet ihr noch Schwierigkeiten mit der Installation von Mumble haben, habe ich hier noch ein kleines Tutorial (Leider auf englisch) für euch: A Guide to PR Mumble 0.5

Selbstverständlich ist jeder willkommen, ich bin auf jeden Fall da (hoffe ich jedenfalls ), schließlich kann ich mir so ein Event nicht entgehen lassen.

Wenn von euch auch jemand Lust hat zu uns zu stoßen, dann können wir uns vorher gerne kurz auf TS treffen und alles absprechen. So gegen 20:00 Uhr wäre ich wieder am Start.

Es sollte kein Problem sein, dass wir ins gleiche Team kommen, ich kenne die meisten Admins, da sollte sich also schon was machen lassen;)

In dem Guide zum PR Mumble steht ne IP, die müsstes sein.

Morgen gibt es wieder ein Event von realityteamwork.com mit Mumble und allem drum und dran, wird sicherlich eine spaßige Angelegeneheit. Wer Lust hat kann gerne zu uns stoßen.

So nu mal wieder ein richtiges Stammtischthema das uns wohl fast alle betrifft

Habs grad beiläufig im Hassthread gelesen und mich gleich mal ins offzielle begeben.

10th MEU Community Server license revoked.

Dear Community,

The PR Team recently created a custom map, Operation Snow Storm, for a PR Community Event. It was with a possible view to releasing the map to the wider community at a later stage to tide over the delayed wait for the v0.9 release from the team. Bare in mind the 'later stage' would be a week at most.

While a number of established server administrators approached various team members asking for permission to use the map, the 10th MEU Server Administrator approached a senior member of the PR Team on X-Fire and informed him that he had added the custom map to his server's map rotation. Upon being asked to remove it from his server, the message was received loud and clear that he had decided that PR's server license was optional. Among the comments received, were;

As you all know, the PR server license agreement was introduced to combat the increasing numbers of servers running arcade game settings. These settings rapidly diluted the PR experience, and so the license was put in place as a method to ensure servers were only able to change a limited number of variables. It was not something we took lightly, and the license agreement was drafted with legal advice, which mirrored that fact.

We retain various rights over the PR server files for this reason, and we trust the community server admins to run PR with the traditional team based realism ethos that has made PR so successful to date. We are very proud of the fact that the vast majority of server admins are accomodating to this fact and put in many hours of work ensuring their servers are run well.

Due to the attitude taken, the decision was made to revoke 10th MEU's server license and place a ban on the server admin's account, as well as some further steps. This was not the first time we've had problems with this particular server admin, so experience spoke volumes.

It was not a decision that was taken lightly, and not something we enjoy using. We do however wish to make it clear that the Team is serious about the legally binding server license agreement. If you do not like the agreement, we would ask that you do not run a PR server. We would appreciate the community's support in this as the core reasons behind it is to ensure the ethos of PR, not just as a mod, but as a community.

Ungeachtet der Sache find ichs sehr bedenklich das Coca auch aus dem forum gebannt wurde und somit nicht mal die möglichkeit direkt stellung zu der anschuldigung zu nehmen. Denn wenn man im thread weiter liest scheint es doch ein paar unterschiedliche ansichten zu geben.

come on folks, we are mature enough to get this straight.

edit:

the matter is guys was not that the map was played but it was on the server list or said to be on the server list by administartor at the time, this probs breached the the rules and gorunds under hosting that map therefore server has been locked down or banned not sure yet.

do not take this out on the people who try to keep your forum and game clear of rebels making havok within community, but instead take it out on the server admin involved

same here, finds aber trozdem lustig wie sie alle behaupten die grössen deutsche pr community geht kaputt und man wolle aufhören pr zu spielen xD

welche deutsche PR community ist bitte größer?

ABC ist ca. miesten zu 70% deutsch, coffe spiele ich sehr selten nur, daher keine ahnung

aber sie haben recht das ein guter teil der com somit weggeht bzw wegbricht, trotzdem werd ich nicht aufhören zu spielen...und vllt gibts neue deutsche volle server mit den 10th leuten ohne 10th, wer weiß
