1. Will there be any night maps released for the game? No
Are the environments in BF2 completely destructible like the ones in Red Faction? No, there are several destructible objects in the game but the terrain and most buildings are not destructible. Things like bridges barrels, some fences, and fuel tanks are able to be destroyed.
How easy is the Commander mode to use? Will it take alot of practice or will beginners be able to understand it? The Commander mode took me about 1 minute to figure out on my own. The controls for the commander are very intuitive and are very simple to learn.
How do the adjustable sized maps work? Will the maps expand as the server grows or will it be a pre-set option? All twelve maps that will be released have three sizes. 64, 32, and 16 player versions will be offered. Dynamically changing the map sizes as the game progresses is not an option but may be offered in future patches.
How do the helicopters control? Are they closer to Vietnam or Desert Combat's versions? I found the controls to have sort of a balance between DC and Vietnam. The helos have very good response to them and can be mastered with practice just like DC. On the other hand, new players will have no problem hopping in and taking off.
Will you be able to lean as an infantry soldier? No, that option is not available. Although you don't really need that in this game.
Can infantry still "paint" targets for artillery and air strikes? Unfortunately this option is not included in the release as the devs found it not to be very useful.
Does Punkbuster have any new options compared to BF1942 and BFV? Punkbuster for BF2 is generally the same as it has been for BF1942 and BFV.
Do the aircraft and ground vehicles control well or are they like the ones in BFV? The general feeling I got from playing the game is that the "feel" of the vehicles is much like 1942/Desert Combat with improvements.
How intelligent is the AI in the game? I personally didn't have the chance to play singleplayer but the bots are supposed to be improved over the 1942/Vietnam ones and able to understand the command system.
When playing BF1942, I continually get killed after falling 5 feet. Will this be fixed in BF2? Yes, it is fixed and I was very happy with the damage rate when falling.
What are the system specs? These are what EA is aiming for but keep in mind that it may change by the release date; 1.7 Ghz cpu/2.6 recommended, 512 MB system RAM/1GB recommended, Geforce FX or Radeon 8500 and higher video cards/current generation video card recommended.
What sort of new environment effects will we see? Will the sky be static as in 1942? There will be everything from moving skies to flying birds to waterfalls.
When is the demo coming out? Sometime in mid-June (I know you all want it now}
Will we be able to color our names like in CoD? Not that I was aware of. It seems to be just like in the previous Battlefield games.
Will BF2 support tunnels like BFV did? No, the tunnel option is not planned for this release. It seems they wanted a completely polished game and gameplay experience and the tunnels from BFV didn't quite live up to their expectations.
Will there be weather effects like rain or snow? Snow? This game is set in the deserts... Anyways, BF2 didn't appear to have any weather effects of that sort.
When you shoot glass in the vehicles or buildings, will the glass shatter and break? No, although you are able to shoot through the glass of several vehicles it did not break or shatter at all.
Will CTF be in the release of Battlefield 2? Nope, it is being left out of this release although it was not ruled out for a future patch if the community wants it bad enough.
aber das kann auch ein cheat sein. .
