HomeFront Mod: Mapreview
Die HomeFront Mod zeigt uns ein Mapreview der Map "Plains of Reach" :
Mission Objectives: Humans must defend there position and drive the covenant away from Voluntas. Covenant must capture all human positions
Mission Intelligence: It was a surprise, but the Covenant seemed to be full of surprises as the war seemed to elevate. Despite the battle of epic proportions raging in space, the ground war that inevitably occurred at the Battle of Reach seemed essentially, one sided. The Covenant, having amassed the largest ground force ever seen in the war, began marching on the once-busy city of Voluntas, which stood as a testament to the human civilization, on the edge of the grassy plains foreshadowing Reach's massive mountain ranges.
It was an army which defied all known logistics, an enemy ground force bearing down on them faster then they wished for. Deploying a considerably smaller ground force outside, the city of Voluntas, in desperation, deployed their defensive walls as well, the massive structures rising out from the ground, forming a walled perimeter around the city. They would be the only city on Reach given the chance to put up a defensive fight.
Consisting of all the remaining U.N.S.C. ground forces in the area, the defensive forces of Voluntas prepared for a battle which would be fought across the massive plains before the city, relying on artillery and their own skills to keep them alive. While this baffled O.N.I., that the Covenant would rely strictly on a ground force attack, they weren't about to complain. Despite the odds, the were confident that the city would hold.
As the afternoon sun rose into the sky, there was an impending sense of doom on the battlefield. The U.N.S.C. Soldiers, vigilant as always, knew well enough they would soon be cast into a battle full of nothing but despair. The first shot was fired, a single plasma artillery wrong crashing into grounds at the edge of the wall, scarring the earth below. Across the field, a cloud of dust kicked up, and as if the gates behind them led to the underworld, all hell broke loose.
