Hey people.
A wakeup call for all our fans - WE'VE got a surprise for ya...
For the last couple months, our much respected modeler, Danny 'Godzilla' has been working on a minimod project. The minimod, as its currently called, IDFMOD:ModernCombat, is the addition of contemporary Israeli army equipment to the stock BF2. As for now most of the models are ready, and the minimod will be launched in the vicinity of the FR IDFMOD.
More details on this sub-project later this week.
And as for the IDFMOD project, here's some renders of new stuff and older pieces of equipment updated: D20 152mm field Howitzer, packing a hefty punch, capable of destroying anything in its range, with a big bang:
D30 122mm field gun, the 'little' brother of the D20, known around the world for its great power, accuracy and reliability:
SAU-122, D30 122mm SPG, an Egyptian contraption, using the basic T34, with an enlarged turret and the beasty D30 mounted on top, very capable piece of artillery used mainly as an AT SPG:
Last are renders of the UZI versions, called after Uziel Gal, the inventor of this famous SMG, blowback operated, firing 9mm bullets, with a magazine of 32 rounds in the handle, its still remains one of the best SMGs. First models used wooden fixed buttstock, which was replaced in the mid 0 with a metal collapsing metal stock, two barrel lengths, the long barrel was used briefly during the 60:
Wishing all our fans a great week. Daniel 'DC-3_Dakota' Tourchin, IDFMOD dev team leader
