Die Zukunft von DCR
Desert Combat Realism - Leader Tanelorn gibt seinen Plan für das kommende Jahr bekannt: Because BF2 is not that far away, and we all know everyone is going to drop BF1942 when that comes out... DCR is going to make some final improvements and consider itself complete. Part 1: DCR is going to release a content patch that includes the new Marine vehicles and the unique RG-6 kit. There will be come gameplay tweaks, map tweaks, and possibly some new maps and capabilities. We have had some success creating additional detrimental effects when wounded, which we will try to include.
Part 2: We are focusing on DCR Tactics. This will be released consecutively with the patch. DCR Tactics will comprise of several small scale objective maps that are designed to be played as multiple short-lived rounds with very few if any respawns. Similar to Counterstrike but using the excellent infantry combat system that brings people to DCR.
We do not have a deadline for these releases, but we hope to release them within 2 months, hopefully sooner than later. And as always, DCR is willing to accept third-party contributions. We especially need new props and buildings for the DCR Tactics maps. So far as BF2 is concerned, we expect to make that the next DCR platform.
