Anti-Cheat Tool für Battlefield 1942
Das Team Game Security arbeitet derzeit an einem Projekt mit dem Titel FairPlay. Dabei handelt es sich um ein kleines Anti-Cheat Tool, welches anfangs nur für Battlefield 1942 und später auch für einige andere Games entwickelt werden soll.
Mit dem gerade mal 50 KByte kleinen Tool soll cheatfreies Spielen ermöglicht werden. Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass die Entwickler ihren Versprechungen nachgehen können und möglichst schnell eine erste Version ihres Anti-Cheat Tools veröffentlichen werden.

slush - 03.23.2003 Well, I decided to give more details about our main project, FairPlay. This project will be unlike any 3rd party anti-cheating program available for any game now, in that it is a fusion of many ideas from the best anti-cheating programs from various games (such as cheating-death and Valve's built-in anti-cheat).
For now, FairPlay is designed to work with Battlefield 1942 only. However, in the future it may support a vast array of games (all with the same program!).
The Sign Up page, which is not yet complete, will provide a form for new users to fill out that generates a key. This key will be required in order to identify the player on the anti-cheat network.
The FairPlay program will provide internal anti-cheat support to games that lack it. It is an exciting project that, in theory, cannot be worked around (others have claimed this before, however, we almost guarantee it).
And of course, everything will be completely free. The client executable will probably weigh in at around 50KB uncompressed. We'll keep you posted as we progress.
